Growing up, I always enjoyed taking long walks in nature with my camera and just photographing everything that I saw. It wasn’t until I arrived at the Humber College Creative Photography program that I discovered my love for Portraiture and Compositing.
Two Photographers that have inspired me over the years are George Hurrell and Jerry Uelsmann. George Hurrell was a famous Portrait photographer and the creator of my favourite style of portraits, the Hollywood Style Portrait. He had such a creative way of expressing his models through his work that just touches my heart! Jerry Uelsmann on the other hand created composites in the dark room. Most people look at his work and think Photoshop, but he did his compositing completely in the dark room! That is something I really admire and the composites he created are just stunning!
